What's the difference between guys saying you're hot, and guys saying you're cute?

I was just wondering about that. Guys never say I'm cute, they always say I'm hot! What's the difference in a guy's mind? Personally I would rather be cute than hot, but any compliment is good. lol.

Hot is like they want you and you're appealing. Cute is kind of like they want to give you a hug.
It depends on the guy and how they use either of the words. But if you're being called "hot" more often than "cute," you have nothing to worry about with regard to appearance.

cute is more of wat gurls say most guy dont say that a girls is cute they usually say hot, or kool, or something like that i have alot of guy friend but no way do i know wat goes on in there minds lol :) hope that helped
When they say hot, it means you are someone they would like to manipulate into having sexual intercourse with them. If they say you are cute, it's no better. It means they may see you as good looking in a younger female kind of way. Even in a minor way, minor as in teenage under 18 years old. Which is a very pedophile type of behavior and a warning sign to heed. Watch out for either compliment.
Well...when i think of a hot girl, a girl with a nice body comes to mind, maybe a tan? but when i think of a cute girl, a girl with pretty eyes and a nice smile comes to mind. i guess "cute" and "hot" kind of mix together in some ways, but in general a hot girl might have a nice body, and a cute girl might have a nice face...personally i like to use "pretty". I think it combines hot and cute =]
To me, hot is someone who is way out of my league and I'll never have her. Cute is she's worth my best effort.
