How come men who have standards are considered superficial by women when they have standards also?

A lot of women refuse to date a man shorter than her. Some men refuse to date fat women or women with small breasts. Women criticize men and demonize them for having standards when they have them also...why is this? Why do they demand equality in relationships/dating, when they endorse double standard themselves?
