Mens fashion- finding a new style? So I just graduated college, got my first real job, and am looking to update my wardrobe that I've been wearing practically since high school. I want clothes that are classic, practical, appropriate for my age (23) and will make me feel confident and comfortable. I really like the styles I see in GQ and Menshealth, but they don't show a lot of casual and affordable clothing. I'm an architect and don't wear a suit to work, so I'm looking for a lot of things that are professional and interesting, but won't make me feel uncomfortable or overdressed at work or on a date. So my question- Could anybody show me some resources, whether it be websites or recommended catalogs, where I can check out various mens styles and find what I'm looking for. Does anybody make a comprehension mens fashion book from all different lines? Also, if you have any tips or suggestions on what to get, I'd love to hear it. What are your thoughts on Designer vs. Non-designer lookalikes? So, I've been wondering about this for awhile I know that sometimes, designer items are so unique you'll never find them in anything else, so forking up the money is well worth it! Leather Jacket-What Size, Read Description? I can't do that in my town however because no stores in my town sell leather jackets. And I'll state my measuremets so ya'll should be able to help me out. I'm 6'4" and 220 lbs, with a medium build. My chest is 43 inches, waist 41 inches. If it matters, I wear XXL shirts and 38 (waist) pants tho 37 would be a perfect fit since I need a belt for 38s and 36s are too tight. Now according to the size chart on the site I'm buying from it says I should buy a XL, but today I saw a guy who looked 5'6" max and said he weighed 125 lbs, yet he wore a size XL (or 44-46 chest) leather jacket. And although his chest obviously wasn't 44-46 inches, the jacket didn't look too big on him. And besides that I also like wearing baggy clothes, I absolutly hate tight clothes lol, and on top of that I'm also tall (6'4") and got longish' arms so I'm thinking a XL would be way too small for me (and not long enough). So should I simply get a XXL or go as far as a XXXL or bigger? If there's anyone my size who has a leather jacket they would be the ones who could answer best. I measured my shoulders the best I could, pretty sure there 52 inches or close to it.

Any plus-sized and/or shortish girls ever ordered from Alloy before? I get the Alloy catalog and would really like to order this pair of jeans. The only thing is, I'm not sure if they would fit me because their sizing is weird and goes by odd sizes (like 19, 21, 23) instead of even like most other clothing stores do! I normally wear a woman's size 24 (I am losing weight, I used to be a size 30-32) but once in the while I wear a 26, or even a 22, depending on the way it's made. Well, Alloy has size 25, so do you think that would fit me? Also, their inseams all seem pretty tall to me. I'm 5'3.5" and normally need short pants. Well, they offer inseams in lengths 30-37. My dad's inseam is 30 and he's 5'9" so it seems like a 30 inch inseam would be too long on me, but it's the shortest they offer! Or are mens/womens inseams different? I don't have a measuring tape or anything to actually measure mine. Just wanted some opinions from people who have ordered from them before! Thanks. :)

I have a bet, need to dress up completely as a woman for a costume party, can you help me choose stuff? I had dinner with a group of friends last night, and all night the women were complaining about how it is much harder for women to look good than men, they are expected to wear less comfortable clothes that are often more revealing, high heels that make their feet sore, spend more time doing hair and cosmetics, and so on. I said they should stop moaning because they liked it all really and it is not as hard to wear as they say it is. So after a few drinks they made me this bet. In 2 weeks one of them is having a 30th birthday costume party, and the theme for the costumes is "come as you aren't" so you have to dress as something that you're not. To win the bet I have to dress as a woman, completely in women's clothes, so I can find out for myself how "difficult" it really is for women! What were the underwear models in the Sears catalog pointing at? I know you can picture this. There is a standard Sears (or JCP or Monkey Ward) pose for mens underwear. The photo would have two guys posing in tighty-whities and t-shirts (or "wife-beater" tank tops) as if they were having a casual conversation that just *happened* to be taking place in a partially clothed state.
